Here's a rather strange photo I took at wedding in Roswell, Georgia in April. It took a 12th place award in the Kids category of the summer 2008 Wedding Photojournalist Association contest. One of the judges who chose to give the photo an award wrote: "This photo is really bizarre and I like that. I also like the lack of reaction from those around him. Good find."
I took the photo at a wedding I shot for my friend Manuel. When Manuel called to congratulate me, he told me he liked the photo, but it certainly wasn't my very best.
Isn't it interesting how judges choose award winners?
